Ford Australia has announced a substantial recall affecting 477 Ford Escape PHEV vehicles produced between 2019 and 2023. This action follows the discovery of defective cell modules in the high-voltage battery, which pose a significant fire risk. Owners of the affected models are instructed to limit charging to 80% and to operate their vehicles solely in Auto EV mode until repairs are completed.
