Chery’s Exeed brand is revving up the electric vehicle market with a bold introduction of four new models, showcasing a blend of performance, luxury, and cutting-edge technology. Unveiled on December 22, 2025, these vehicles include the ES7 GT and ES8 shooting brakes, alongside the ET8 and ET9 SUVs. This launch marks a significant step for Chery as it aims to enhance its foothold in the competitive automotive landscape.
Performance and Specs of the ES7 GT and ES8 Shooting Brakes
The Exeed ES7 GT stands out as the brand’s inaugural shooting brake, equipped with an Extended Range Electric Vehicle (EREV) powertrain featuring three electric motors. This powerhouse accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in under 3 seconds, boasting an impressive 1,700 km comprehensive range. With 1,000V fast charging, drivers can gain 450 km of range in just five minutes. Its design includes a sport-tuned suspension and striking aesthetics, highlighted by a sealed front fascia and full-width LED lights.
Meanwhile, the Exeed ES8 also enters the shooting brake arena with a 0.22 Cd drag coefficient, dual vector motors, and advanced four-wheel steering. Its braking system features six-piston calipers, ensuring enhanced handling and performance. Inside, a 15.6-inch central screen powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 chip and Huawei’s HarmonyOS offers cutting-edge connectivity and entertainment options. Both models are set to attract performance-oriented buyers seeking innovation in their vehicles, as noted by Car News China.
Luxury and Innovation in the ET8 and ET9 SUVs
The ET8 and ET9 SUVs are crafted for luxury enthusiasts, with the ET8 featuring a spacious six-seat layout, premium 4D mechanical massage seats, and a 31-speaker Boya audio system. The ET9, positioned as Exeed’s flagship model, includes unique rear-hinged coach doors and rotatable seats that provide oxygen generation for enhanced comfort. Notable for its rear-wheel steering capabilities, the ET9 can execute tank turns, a feature that sets it apart in the luxury SUV segment.
Next-Gen Technology: Solid-State Batteries and Advanced Driving Assistance
As part of its forward-thinking approach, Chery plans to integrate the Rhino S all-solid-state battery into these models, starting with the ES8. This battery technology aims for a targeted 1,000 km electric range, positioning Exeed competitively in the rapidly evolving EV market. Additionally, all four models will feature Chery’s Falcon advanced driving assistance system, with the Falcon 900 enabling Level 3 autonomy slated for a 2026 rollout. This strategic focus on next-gen energy solutions and autonomous driving showcases Exeed’s commitment to innovation in the automotive industry, as highlighted by CNEV Post.
With the ES7 GT launching in just 10 months and the other models following within 20 months, Chery’s Exeed brand is poised to make a significant impact in both the luxury and performance vehicle sectors. The integration of solid-state batteries and advanced autonomous features demonstrates a clear commitment to pushing boundaries in the automotive landscape.
