Chery’s premium brand, Exeed, is gearing up to launch the highly anticipated EX7 SUV on April 17, 2026. This model introduces the world’s first mass-produced aviation-grade Electronic Mechanical Braking (EMB) system, a groundbreaking technology that promises to redefine vehicle safety and performance.
Blind pre-orders for the EX7 commenced on March 18, 2026, with a modest deposit of 999 yuan. As the EX7 evolves from the Exeed Exlantix ET, it targets tech-savvy consumers eager for cutting-edge features in a mid-size SUV.

The EX7 showcases Exeed’s latest design language, characterized by a sleek profile and distinctive split headlights complemented by a continuous light strip. Measuring 4,988 mm in length, 1,975 mm in width, and 1,710 mm in height, it boasts a generous 3,000 mm wheelbase that enhances stability.
Inside, the EX7 adopts a minimalist approach with a stunning 30-inch integrated display that combines the central control and passenger entertainment features. The EX7 offers both range-extender and pure electric powertrains, catering to diverse consumer needs. The range-extender version features a 1.5T engine delivering 154 hp, with battery options providing electric ranges of 182 km to 203 km.
In contrast, the pure electric variant sports a dual-motor setup, generating a combined output of 473 hp and powered by a 97.682 kWh battery, delivering an impressive range of 682 km to 726 km. This positions the EX7 competitively against mid-size electric SUVs like the Li Auto L8 and Aito M8.
